Spring is here!

Each Spring, I fall in love with Charleston all over again. The temperatures rise and the days become longer. The camellia and azalea blooms creep up against the extensions of wrought iron gates. A sprinkling of petals (or fairy dust?) coats the sidewalks. Yes, Charleston is beautiful throughout the year, but in the spring it is truly magical.

Having lived in the North most of my life, I don’t take these early springs for granted. You can catch me, more often than not, playing photographer on my daily walks downtown. Maybe I look like a tourist, but I don’t mind- Charleston’s charm needs to be captured.

I take dozens of pictures on a daily basis, but here is a sampling of some of my favorites. Though absolutely stunning, they don’t even begin to do it justice. Charleston is beyond spectacular.
